June 30th, 2010 marks the centennial of the formal dedication of the South Dakota State Capitol building. On June 19, 2010, the State of South Dakota held a Centennial event to celebrate this historic date. There were a variety of events ranging from a classic car show, live entertainment, tours, art show, family picnic, and a hot air balloon launch in the evening. Unfortunately the weather prevented the hot air balloons from launching, but they still inflated their balloons and the entire day was a wonderful success to re-dedicate the Capitol building for the next 100 years!
Located in this gallery are a collection of photos I took during this all day event. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I did taking them!
