My family and I have driven past the Ingalls Homestead on many occassions and we've always said that we should stop there. On August 7, 2010, South Dakota Dept. of Tourism Senior Photographer Chad Coppess held a photowalk at the Ingalls Homestead. This was the perfect incentive to go. My wife and daughters were able to see and do many activities while I was able to enjoy my photography hobby and photograph many interesting things. I've since revisted the Homestead and have added a few more photos to this gallery. The Ingalls Homestead is a great place to visit and gives you some sense of what it was like to live on the prairie.
