You will find a new addition to the city of Sioux Falls, SD. It is the Arc of Dreams. It is both a sculpture and art. Designed by Dale Lamphere, it spans the Big Sioux River from one bank across to the other with a gap in the middle. At night it is lit up by multiple spotlights that alternate between colors and patterns. It was dedicated on July 24, 2019.
I was able to visit the Arc of Dreams on August 16, 2019. I was there shortly before sunset and stayed until after dark. There are many angles and perspectives to try and shoot the Arc of Dreams and I tried many of these! This gallery contains a variety of photos from different locations and also the same location but taken at a different time after the color scheme changed. It was a joy to photograph and also to visit this unique sculpture.
