Some members of Ondekoza came to the Pierre & Ft. Pierre, South Dakota area to visit our schools and teach a little about their music and arts. At the end of their week long visit, they gave a public performance at the T.F. Riggs High School theater.
They are a professional Taiko Drumming group from Japan. Their performance was very impressive and very entertaining. I only wished I had gotten better photographs as the lighting was very difficult and several photos are soft due to heavy image processing. (During the performance, three words kept running through my mind: "NEED MORE LIGHT!")
Many thanks to the Short Grass Arts Council, the many sponsors, and T.F. Riggs High School for providing for this amazing group to come to South Dakota and perform for us!
