Sylvan Lake is a man made lake that is part of Custer State Park in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The photos here are from a vacation we took in 2008. We stayed in a cabin one night next to the lake. My family and I took a walk around the lake that afternoon and I got a few family photos and afternoon photos of the lake. However, my main interest was reflection shots and is why we stayed at the cabin. The following morning I was setup to take photos at the lake by 4:00AM to catch the early morning light and sunrise on the lake. It was a beautiful morning and I was treated with some wonderful photos of this lake.
