On March 1, 2010, the State of South Dakota help a reception at the State Capitol Building in the Rotunda. The reception was the first of two events to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the South Dakota State Capitol building. The reception was open to the public and featured live music, food, speeches, unveiling of art, and a birthday cake.
