As in past years, I again took photos of the Fort Pierre Rodeo Fireworks display standing up behind the South Dakota State Capitol Building. The trees up there have been growing these past years, but there are still some clear lines of sight to frame the fireworks behind the Capitol Building.

Different this year though is the construction scaffolding that is up around the dome. There has been work being done to maintain our beautiful building.

Also different this year is that I had my old camera setup with an intervalometer connected and had it taking exposures automatically, one after another as I shot photos on my main camera. It's a good thing I did too as I was having trouble with my main camera setup. It was having trouble focusing and also moving a bit on my tripod setup. I still got several good shots, but some have the Capitol Building with a slightly software focus than I would prefer. So in this gallery, every photo that is landscape orientation was taken with my old camera. I had to crop them down quite a bit as it is a lower resolution camera and I had it zoomed out to capture the entire scene since it was just on 'autopilot' taking photos and I wasn't monitoring it. All the portrait (vertical) orientation photos were taken with my main camera setup.
